I responded to a reader question on behalf of my relationship with Grandparents.com and they received over 500 comments! Quite a reaction to such a simple issue. click here to read. The grandparent butted in and it was enough to aggravate the parents to the point of alienating the grandma. What was interesting is that those grandparents who had had similar experiences understood the concept of apology whereas those who had no frame of reference didn’t get it? The grandparents who hadn’t experienced any bumps in the road yet thought that there was no apology necessary and that grandparents wouldn’t be denied over such a small thing? Hmmm, think again people...it can happen to anyone and for any reason, no matter how small.
