Opening The Door

A response from a parent is actually a door opener to the pathway of communication. Grandparents may not always like what the parents have to say, but the fact that they are saying anything to you is a plus. You have a better chance of getting to the root of the problem and finding a solution once you are given the facts . It’s when the angry parent shuts down completely, refusing to respond to you verbally or in writing that impedes progress toward resolution. You are at a disadvantage when the door is slammed shut.
